About the Speaker:

When I entered college in the fall of 1984 as a geology and physics major, I was unsaved, although I believed in God. In January of 1985, after hearing the gospel clearly presented at church, I accepted Christ as my Savior. At that point I became a theistic evolutionist, believing from what the Bible said that God created, but since evolution was a "fact," God must have used evolution as His method of creation.

In the spring of 1985, Dr. Donald Chittick came to the college I was attending and spoke on creation and evolution. Afterwards, I read Dr. Chittick's book, The Controversy: Roots of the Creation-Evolution Conflict, and became convinced that evolution and the creation account in the Bible cannot be harmonized. For over 20 years, I have avidly studied this issue and have come to see its importance as the foundation of the Christian faith, upon which all other doctrines are built.

In September 2004, my family and I founded Creation Education Ministries in order to teach others about the truth of creation and the fallacies of evolution. I have now spoken at many different churches, camps, conferences, and colleges in Oregon, Washington, and California. I have taught at the college level since 1991 and am currently a full-time college geography instructor, but am available to speak part-time on a variety of topics related to the Bible and science as often as my schedule allows.
